Out of the sea of new mini ATVs
flooding into the United States from Asia, one particular
model caught our eye at the recent Indy trade show. The
Predator 50 is not one of a multitude of cheesy "clone
quads" out there. It is manufactured by the same company
that produced Suzuki's LT50 in the 1980s, the Hyosung Company.
Korean-based Hyosung is now producing a mini ATV under their
own badge.
From a quick glance at the
body-work, the Predator 50 has styling similar to the T-Rex
90. It has a narrow, sloping front nose and spade-shaped
handlebar cover, full floorboards and a bright yellow color.
Looking under the bodywork we find A-arms and knobby tires
similar to the Cayman 50 and a rear suspension package similar
to the Suzuki LT50.
